A leading fryer manufacturer leads tracked fryer brands in AI share of voice
The challenge: When buyers ask AI which commercial fryer to choose, does our client appear in the answer?
TMC Digital Media developed 17 buyer questions and tracked our client's progress across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. By October 5, 2026, our client held 33% share of voice, up from 29% on August 5 and three percentage points ahead of other top fryer manufacturers.
A wider lead, with more work ahead
The brand ranked first in share of voice across the tracked competitive set on October 5, 2026. Its lead over its closest competitor grew from one percentage point on August 5 to three, with sister brands excluded from the competitor comparison.
From September 7 through October 5, the brand’s website earned 597 citations across the 17 tracked questions, ahead of WebstaurantStore’s 591. Its reduced-oil-volume fryer page appeared in 113 answers.
Brand visibility tells a separate story: the brand appeared in 52.9% of tracked AI answers for the week ending September 30, down from 59.55% on September 2. The question set was unchanged, so that decline was real. The average of the individual question scores was 52.1% on October 5, close to August 5’s 51.6%.

A measured approach to AI search
For your equipment brand, the questions buyers ask give you a practical starting point. With this manufacturer, TMC paired product knowledge with an audit, recurring measurement and specific content improvements.
- Audit the foundation. An AI audit identified 25 priority pages for review.
- Track buyer questions. TMC wrote all 17 questions, covering fryer selection, oil savings and other buying decisions. The tracked set has remained unchanged since July 22, 2026.
- Publish accurate company and product information. The rewritten llms.txt and AI Information Page were verified live on October 5. The information page includes company facts, product lines, specifications and eight FAQ entries. YouTube was also added to the footer.
- Separate completed work from open items. Contact-page addresses and the displayed phone number were updated, but the tap-to-call link still needed correction as of the October 7 report.
- Rewrite content around direct answers. Three posts covering reduced-oil-volume fryer value, extending fryer oil life and choosing fryer oil were rewritten and awaiting client approval as of October 7. Their existing web addresses are retained in the rewrite plan.
- Review the results monthly. Question-level gains and gaps determine the next content priorities.
The report treats llms.txt and FAQ markup as housekeeping, not proven drivers of citation gains. The measured results do not establish that any individual technical change caused the improvement.
Use the gaps to guide the next round
The brand’s visibility for the bar-and-grill fryer question rose from 68% on August 5 to 83% on October 5. Countertop fryers rose from 22% to 34%, while donuts and funnel cakes rose from 6% to 19%.
The same tracking exposed losses: the oil-saving fryer question fell from 70% to 55%, and reduced-oil-volume fryer value fell from 37% to 24%. Extending fryer oil life remained at 0%; rethermalizer uses scored 1%, and gas versus electric fryers scored 6%.
The October report’s priorities are to approve and publish the three rewrites, develop a countertop fryer comparison, answer the remaining educational gaps, and work with dealers and reps to keep third-party comparisons accurate. Seven of the ten most-cited pages were best-of lists or head-to-head comparisons.
For your brand, this is the value of consistent measurement: you can see which buying questions your content answers and where the next revision belongs.
